Art for You and Me and You All and UsDescription
Based on the sophisticated collage techniques of Czech artist Jiří Kolář, you will experiment with a wide variety of paper types. How can old and new be combined? Printing techniques expand the workshop, as does the experience of continuing to work on the joint installation by twin sisters Christine and Irene Hohenbüchler and threading pearl strings.
This workshop invites participants to let art grow together. Stringing beads into chains and shapes, printing on paper, tearing it, layering it, combining it, or gluing it to other papers to create collages—each workshop focuses on one of these areas. Everyone works together: ideas are initiated, passed on, taken up, and transformed. Traces remain visible, processes open. Those who wish to can start something of their own, while others pick it up, change it, add to it, or rethink it. In this way, a large work is created together—or several smaller ones that grow, change, and interact with each other. Art is created from many hands, thoughts, and moods—openly, playfully.
