Bande im Porträt
Gang portraitDescription
Based on Victoria Tomaschko's photo series in the stairwell, photographic group portraits will be discussed. How does the interaction in the photo come across? Do the siblings like each other or do they argue? Do they feel comfortable? How would you photograph yourselves together?
In the next step, you can try out your own photos. How do you create a joint portrait—a sibling portrait? What does it say about the relationship between the people depicted? In this workshop, you will explore together how identity, togetherness, and trust can be made visible in different ways. It's not just about faces as images. Rather, you will experiment with how your bodies can be staged in relation to each other in space. Using different drawing and photographic techniques, you will create individual portraits that reveal group constellations and references to your own lives.
