Kinderzimmer – unendlich und begrenzt
Children's rooms – infinite and unlimitedPast event
Description
What does your children's room look like? What should be in a children's room? Let yourself be inspired by the following works in the exhibition:
Gatherings by Yoko Gwen Halbwidl—a large-scale installation made of felt and soap, Langer Atem (Long Breath) by Flora and Martin Szurcsik-Nimmervoll—a walk-in cloud made of parachute silk, Last Night VIII / Last Night XLII by Soshiro Matsubara – ceramic candelabras (chandeliers) and Pit und Peggs Traumreise (Pit and Pegg's Dream Journey) by Felix Nussbaum and Michael Loewen – a film that can be watched together while lying down.
The workshop combines the tactile experiences of the installations with the narrative, dreamlike level of the film, thus creating a transition from feeling and speaking to creating something of your own.
Which of the works would you incorporate into your own children's room – and why? Would these works of art be visible or well hidden in the room? After discussions and drawings, you can build your own models.
