Mixen und Montieren
Description
This workshop is all about sound. Everyday noises, speech, melodies, voices—what sounds do you hear inside and around you? How can you make music together? And how can these sounds be combined to create a new piece? In this workshop, participants will compose and record their own pieces after initial listening experiences. The aim is to combine as many different elements as possible in new ways.
Inspiration is provided by the works of Andreas [LUPO] Lubich, Hodel / Schumacher / Clavadetscher, and Heiko Bressnik and Uwe Bressnik, who worked with collage, exchange, transmission, and material transformation. The result is a network of ideas—one large collaborative work or many small ones that relate to each other. The focus is not on a finished end product, but on experiencing an artistic and social process: trying things out, inspiring each other, or continuing to work on the contributions of others. Using found and self-produced sounds, creative sound montages are created that show how diverse and playful composing can be.
