Protest! Tree Houses, Tents and Other Obstacles
What can we do when we do not like something or want something to change? We can voice our opinions, create images, make signs or join forces with others and take action.
When many people come together around a shared concern, protest emerges. It may take the form of a demonstration, a creative intervention in a public space or a collective gesture in support of something that needs protecting—such as nature or places that are important to community life. Tree houses can help protect such places, even though living in them can be dangerous. This talk for young audiences explores these and other examples of protest.
