Julia Grosse
Julia Grosse is an art historian, curator, and strategic advisor at Berlin’s Gropius Bau. She teaches at the Berlin University of the Arts and serves as a juror, including for the German Pavilion at the 61st Venice Biennale. Grosse is co-founder of the international platform Contemporary And (C&) and, together with Yvette Mutumba, was awarded the title of “European Cultural Manager of the Year” in 2020. She curated John Akomfrah’s largest exhibition in Germany at Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt and is curating Gabriele Stötzer’s solo exhibition at the Gropius Bau in 2026.
At KinderKunstLabor, Julia Grosse was a guest as part of a workshop within Why Is There Something Rather Than Nothing, a collaboration between Kunst im öffentlichen Raum Niederösterreich and KinderKunstLabor on the occasion of KOERNOE’s 30th anniversary.
